Vintage Kava is a herbal tea lounge located in Weaverville, NC. Our location sits on several acres of land surrounded by trees and mountains. The patio offers customers a breath taking view to enjoy with their cup of tea. We have a community garden in the summer, a Moroccan themed lounge great for working on a laptop, a small thrift store, weekly events, and local art. Vintage Kava hosts open mic every Tuesday night and live music on weekends. The menu consists of a variety of herbal teas like Kava, Kombucha, Yerba- Mate, Hemp Drinks, Jun, Coffee, and more! If you cannot find a drink that fits your needs, create your own tea from over 30 herbs to choose from.
We have always enjoyed making these special drinks for our friends and family. We moved to Asheville and fell in love with the area, taking notice to the local popularity of herbal teas like Kava. We decided to use the recipes we have been using with our friends for years to start our own Kava Bar. Our goal has been to offer our customers the best quality drinks for a reasonable price, while providing a space that promotes interpersonal communication. We really enjoy the one of a kind vibe our location offers and we want to share it with the world, along with our teas! We go the extra mile in providing a unique venue to enjoy these traditional teas and keeping in touch with nature. Every time you visit us, something different will catch your eye!
I have lived in Raleigh, NC for the past 15 years. I was born in Florida and I have also lived in New York briefly. I moved to Asheville in January 2017 and I absolutely fell in love with it! I recently graduated from NC State with my Bachelor’s in Business. I have always had an interest in plant-based products. I am so happy to be able to share these drinks and continue to nurture our community.
I have lived in Raleigh, NC for the past 10 years. I was born in Florida and that is where I spent my childhood years. I have traveled all over the US and lived in California for a few years. Before starting this business, I worked in the horticulture industry. In my free time I enjoy attending festivals, listening to music, and meeting new people. I went to Burning Man in 2016 and had an awesome time. I moved to Asheville in January of 2017 and have enjoyed every moment of it. Asheville is really a one of a kind place.
